Hasan Bilokcuoglu, a.k.a DJ Hass-E
thanks god to be born in 1977 so that he has experienced the golden era of
music, 80s, 90s. From my early years of life, I have always had a great passion
and interest in music. My very first memories about music is that my
grandfather (r.i.p great man) had a gramophone and I, as a little boy, used to
watch it with admiration spinning the records.
Being a typical lisztomaniac, music
has been a big part of my life. In the 80s and 90s, my Walkman (and later my Discman)
was acting like an essential organ of my body. Whenever there was a birthday
party or alike in my neighbourhood, I was always the one who brought the
cassette tapes to play at the parties J
In the early 2000s, I bought a pair
of Technics turntable and started collecting vinyl records, particularly
focusing on Oldschool hiphop, Uk hardcore/rave/breakbeat, and
Jungle&Drum’n’Bass. I must say that I have been ‘classically self-trained’
(I mean to say none of today’s technologies never&ever involved, only
oldschool turntables and been practising by myself to improve and fully gain
the skills.)
In those years, I had a chance to DJ
at a private radio, made a radio show called ‘Club Culture’.
Since then, I have appeared at many
places and festivals around the north of the island, preferring relatively
small; cosy and friendly bars and mixing 70s 80s 90s vinyl records.
MY MOTTO:
‘’doesn’t matter where I come from,
because I come from MUSIC-doesn’t matter where I’m going as long as I’m going
to MUSIC. Doesn’t matter what colour my skin is, because my skin is
MUSIC-doesn’t matter what language I speak, because I speak MUSIC-doesn’t
matter what you hate, because I LOVE MUSIC’’ DJ Hass-E
